First Moto – The track was quite muddy with lots of standing water. Shane McElrath and Alex Martin diced for the lead in the first few turns before Martin crashed. McElrath’s lead didn’t last long as his bike stalled in the mud and he struggled to get it started.
Cameron McAdoo inherited the lead from McElrath. RJ Hampshire kept the pressure on McAdoo and was finally able to pass him after about three laps. Dylan Ferrandis was getting close to Hampshire on the last few laps, but Hampshire held him off for the win.
Second Moto – The track was still muddy, but not nearly as muddy as the first moto. Alex Martin led early and technically surrendered the holeshot to McElrath for a turn before McElrath got stuck, giving Alex Martin the lead back. Jeremy Martin dropped into second behind Alex and the two began to pull away from the pack. Alex Martin was never challenged. Jeremy Martin’s bike started smoking early, but he was able to keep it running to second place.
450 Class
First Moto – The track was still muddy but beginning to dry out. Just Barcia took the holeshot and was never really challenged after that, winning by about a minute. Eli Tomac spent most of the race in second place, but his bike started having trouble and he started dropping positions in an effort to nurse it to the finish line. But his bike finally gave out with about half a lap to go.
Second Moto – Max Anstie got the holeshot and led most of the race. Musquin kept close in second for awhile and then Zach Osborne moved into second. With about two minutes left, Anstie got caught behind a lapper who crashed allowing Osborne to take the lead. On the last lap, Anstie dropped another spot to Musquin. Tomac crashed in the first turn and was in 40th place but worked up to seventh place before his motorcycle again died late in the race.
