First Moto
On an extremely muddy track, Dylan Merriam took the holeshot and an early lead. About a lap in, Marvin Musquin passed Merriam for the lead. Eli Tomac started in about 15th place and quickly worked up to 4th, but had trouble with his roll-offs, so had to pull into the pits for new goggles. Then Tomac quickly passed Benny Bloss and Blake Baggett to move to third. A few laps later he moved past Phil Nicoletti for second and then Musquin had roll off problems.
Tomac passed Musquin for the lead and Musquin pitted for new goggles with about 10 minutes left in the moto. Once he got the lead, Tomac was never challenged.
Second Moto
The rain let up a little, but the track was still quite muddy. Musquin got the holeshot but was quickly passed by Nicoletti. Tomac moved into third place early on. Eight minutes into the race Musquin and Tomac got past Nicoletti. Once Musquin took the lead he wasn’t challenged.
250 Class
First Moto
With the track still muddy, Michael Mosiman grabbed the holeshot and held the lead for nearly half the race. Dylan Ferrandis started pushing Mosiman with about 18 minutes left, and Mosiman crashed over a jump and surrendered the lead to Ferrandis. Mosiman dropped to fourth after the crash.
Ferrandis kept extending his lead, while his bike was smoking with concern of an engine failure. With about 2 minutes left in the race Ferrandis went off the track and hit the fence, but was able to maintain the lead. Ferrandis nursed his bike to the win but was never challenged.
Second Moto
The rain stopped but the track was still muddy. Cameron McAdoo got out front early and held the lead with a handful of riders battling for second behind him. Mitchell Harrison was the first one to finally get past McAdoo about 12 minutes into the moto. Soon Harrison had Ferrandis and Plessinger pushing him hard for the lead.
With 3 minutes left on the clock Harrison got caught behind a lapper and was passed by Plessinger and Ferrandis. Ferrandis passed Plessinger for the lead a few turns later. After battling with Plessinger for a bit, Ferrandis went on to the win.
