450 Moto 1
Eli Tomac took the holeshot with Marvin Musquin running second. Justin Barcia quickly worked past Musquin. But the pass didn’t last long as Musquin retook second place. Tomac started pulling away and had a 5-second lead at one point. But Musquin was pushing and with about 6 minutes left he got past Tomac for the lead. Tomac didn’t have much for Musquin as Musquin began to pull away. With about a minute left, Tomac made a little push and closed the gap, but wasn’t able to catch Musquin as Musquin pulled away again for the win. Ken Roczen and Blake Baggett were involved in a first turn pileup and never factored in the lead.
450 Moto 2
Roczen got the holeshot, but Tomac quickly passed him for the lead. Roczen and Tomac swapped positions twice more in the first two laps, leaving Tomac with an early lead. Musquin and Roczen battled for second for a few laps before Musquin pulled away. Musquin eventually ran down Tomac and spent the second half of the race on Tomac’s rear wheel. On the last lap Musquin made a couple moves to get the lead, but just couldn’t make it happen due to some minor mistakes allowing Tomac to pull away on the last couple turns for a nearly 2-second winning margin.
250 Moto 1
Aaron Plessinger parlayed a holeshot to a 10-second win in which he never faced much of a challenge. Most of the drama came during the first half of the race when Jeremy Martin was pushing Justin Cooper for second place. Martin would make a move, fail at the pass and then fall back. He did this a couple times before finally making it stick about halfway through the race. Once past Cooper, Martin wasn’t challenged again.
Alex Martin wiped out early in the race and fell to last place before getting rolling again. Zach Osborne was injured in the pileup at the last race and is out for the season.
250 Moto 2
Justin Cooper took the holeshot with Jeremy Martin running close behind him. About halfway through the first lap, Cooper went off the track and lost the lead to Jeremy Martin. Jeremy Martin had pulled out a big lead when his bike suddenly died about halfway through the race. Plessinger inherited the lead when Jeremy Martin broke. Once getting the lead, Plessinger wasn’t challenged. Austin Forkner withstood strong pressure from Dylan Ferrandis on the last few laps to finish in second place by a bike length.
