Aaron Plessinger went wire-to-wire in the first 250 moto and was never challenged. Adam Cianciarulo took second midway through the moto, and held the position without much of a challenge. Zach Osborne had a bad start, and worked his way up from 25th place to a fourth-place finish.
The first 450 moto was just about as anticlimactic as the 250 moto. Marvin Musquin got the holeshot, with Martin Davalos giving him a challenge for the first lap. Eli Tomac worked his way up to Musquin and about 10 minutes into the race made a move for the lead, but couldn’t get the pass. Tomac fell back and never challenged again. Musquin cruised for the win, with Tomac settling for an easy second. Cole Seely grabbed the final podium spot.
Joey Savatgy took the holeshot in the second 250 moto, and held the lead for the first 8 minutes before RJ Hampshire got past him for the lead. Hampshire held the lead for a handful of laps before succumbing to Savatgy. Savatgy was never challenged again and took the win. Hampshire withstood a couple challenges from Cianciarulo and Osborne, but held on for second.
The real drama was back in third place where Cianciarulo was camped out for most of the moto. He eventually got passed by Osborne. But a fourth-place finish still would have given him the overall win. But on the last lap, Dylan Ferrandis got by Cianciarulo for fourth, which handed the overall win to Savatgy.
The second 450 moto wasn’t much more interesting than the first. Davalos got the holeshot this time and held the lead for a few laps before Musquin passed him for the lead. Once in front, Musquin checked out for his second moto win of the day. Tomac needed another couple laps to pass Davalos for second, and once there he held it the rest of the way. Davalos finished comfortably in third.
