Cooper Webb collected up into a crash right off the start of moto one, allowing Adam Ciancurulo to take the lead. Alex Martin was hot on his heels. Midway through the moto, Ciancurulu caught his front tire on the wrong side of a berm and had a quick tipover allowing Martin to take the lead. Ciancurulu was able to get close to Martin, but never able to pass. Martin took the win with Ciancurulu second and Joey Savatgy third. Webb battled back for a sixth place finish.
Ken Roczen cruised to another easy win in the first moto. Eli Tomac went down early but fought back for a sixth place finish. Marvin Musquin and Justin Barcia also made the podium.
In the second 250 moto, Cooper Webb and Alex Martin had bad starts, with Adam Ciancurulu grabbing another holeshot and Austin Forkner in behind him. Forkner made the pass on Ciancurulu about 10 minutes in to the moto. Zach Osborne pushed his way past Forkner about 8 minutes later. Osborne hung on to win the moto and his first career overall win. Forkner took second and Webb got third to clinch the 2016 championship. Martin made it up to fourth place to take second overall.
In moto two for the 450’s, Andrew Short took the holeshot, but as he’s done all year, Ken Roczen quickly worked his way up the pack and took the lead about halfway through the first lap. Nobody ever challenged Roczen again. Tomac worked his way up to a second place finish. Justin Barcia outdueled Marvin Musquin for third.
