Ken Roczen cruised to another overall win in the 450 class. In the first moto, he took the holeshot and led every lap. In the second moto, Justin Barcia got the holeshot and held off Roczen for half a lap before succumbing to the Roczen freight train.
Big news of the week was Ryan Dungey's back injury in the previous round will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
In the 250 class, Zach Osborne picked up his first ever moto win. Osborne passed Alex Martin on the 7th lap and faced a late challenge from Jeremy Martin, but held on to win. Alex Martin had bad luck when his bike seized late in the race while running in 2nd place, causing him to DNF the first moto.
In the second moto, Adam Ciancarulo grabbed the early lead, with Jeremy Martin and Joey Savatgy following closely behind. Savatgy got by Jeremy Martin and after a few laps, Savatgy was finally able to take the lead. Alex Martin had a mediocre start but pushed hard and worked his way up to second place halfway through the moto. Alex Martin was unable to run down Savatgy who took the win and the overall win. Jeremy Martin suffered apparently the same engine failure that Alex suffered in the first moto, and had to pull out. |
