In the 250 class, Alex Martin took an early lead in the first moto. He extended his lead to nearly 6 minutes halfway through the race. But, Cooper Webb kept him in sight, and was able to grab the lead before the white flag. Webb held on for the win, despite still nursing a wrist injury.
In the second moto, Jeremy Martin grabbed the holeshot and was never really challenged, going wire-to-wire for the win. Alex Martin picked up another second place finish which gave him the overall for the day.
In the 450 class, Ryan Dungey led the first 8 laps with Ken Roczen bird-dogging him. Roczen finally overtook Dungey and checked out to a 13-second lead. With about 3 laps to go, Roczen developed a mechanical failure in his fork, slowing his pace considerably. Dungey took advantage for the moto win, while Roczen limped on to a 4th-place finish.
Roczen got redemption in the second moto, taking the holeshot and cruising to a 20-second win. Dungey took second place for the overall. |
