Austin Forkner took the lead on the second corner and quickly started pulling away from the field. In the meantime Justin Cooper, Cameron McAdoo, Alex Martin, Dylan Ferrandis and Jett Lawrence were left battling to find a spot behind Forkner. Ferrandis proved to be the fastest of the bunch and by the midpoint of the race had moved to second and put the hammer down in an attempt to make up ground on Forkner.
Jett Lawrence crashed midway through the race and dropped to 12th place.
Ferrandis was able to chip away a couple seconds at Forkner’s lead, but never got close enough to make a move for the lead.
450 Class
Cooper Webb got the holeshot with Ken Roczen close behind, while Eli Tomac was buried off the start back in 15th place.
Early on was a replay of their heat race with Webb running first and Roczen keeping on his back wheel. Roczen even pulled ahead of Webb for one straight before giving the lead back to Webb. With 11 minutes left Webb slowly began pulling away from Roczen for a couple minutes before Roczen really started dropping.
Tomac made his final pass to third place with two laps to go.
