Michael Mosiman took the early lead with Austin Forkner keeping close behind. Mosiman held on to the lead for about four minutes before finally giving way to Forkner. Dylan Ferrandis got past Mosiman not much long after. Ferrandis held about a second behind Forkner most of the race until the final two minutes when Ferrandis finally made the pass and then pulled away for the win without a challenge from Forkner
450 Class
The first half of the first lap saw Blake Baggett, Aaron Plessinger, Adam Cianciarulo and Cooper Webb all take a quick turn in the lead. By the end of the first lap it was Cianciarulo who found himself in the lead.
Cianciarulo pulled out to a two second lead and it looked like he might cruise to victory. But Webb started reeling him in and took the lead with two minutes left. Cianciarulo fought back for a little while, but in the end didn’t have enough to challenge Webb.
Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac started outside the top ten and slowly worked their way up but neither was in position to compete for the lead. Midway through the race, Tomac had a bit of a battle with Justin Barcia that seemed to end any chance of Tomac finding the podium.
