Alex Martin was the early leader with Austin Forkner following closely for the first two laps. Forkner finally got past Martin and brought Dylan Ferrandis with him. Ferrandis followed Forkner for most of the race and then made a move to get past him with about five minutes left. Forkner couldn’t make another move on Ferrandis after losing the lead.
Michael Mosiman crashed out of the race early on when his front tire washed out in a corner and he and his bike got run over by a group of riders.
450 Class
Ken Roczen started in the lead with Adam Cianciarulo and Eli Tomac following behind. The three riders stayed in the same position for the first eight minutes without any real challenges until Tomac was able to get past Cianciarulo and start making a run at Roczen. It took Tomac about two minutes to finally get past Roczen for the lead.
With about five minutes left, Tomac made a mistake and let Roczen by for the lead. Tomac needed about three minutes to regain the lead from Roczen. Cooper Webb bumped into Roczen on the final turn and stole second place from him.
