Austin Forkner, who got injured in practice before the previous race, was able to suffer through the heat race and make it to the main event.
Alex Martin got the holeshot and the early lead with Martin Davalos and Forkner in tow. Martin crashed early on and gave the lead to Davalos.
Forkner only managed to keep pace for two laps before a rough landing aggravated his knee injury and he had to pull out of the race.
Davalos held the lead for six laps before getting passed by Chase Sexton. Sexton pulled away and cruised to the win. Justin Cooper battled early with teammate Mitch Oldenburg for second place, but Oldenburg won the battle.
450 Class
Cooper Webb took the early lead while Marvin Musquin crashed in the first corner. Eli Tomac passed Webb on lap three but then crashed five laps later to give the lead back to Webb.
Zach Osborne passed Webb with six minutes left to take the lead, but made a mistake half a lap later and gave the lead back to Webb.
Tomac worked his way back up to second place and looked to be making another run at Webb, but with about 2 minutes left crashed again and had to settle for a third place finish.
The win looked to be what Webb needed to seal the championship. |
