March 9, 2019 Daytona Int'l Raceway
Daytona Beach, FL
250 Class
Kyle Peters took the holeshot and led for over a lap before he started falling back on the pace. Austin Forkner started in third but made quick work of Justin Cooper and then took the lead from Peters. Chase Sexton followed Forkner to the front and settled into second but was never able to challenge Forkner for the lead.
450 Class
Blake Baggett got the early lead and held on for about five minutes with Marvin Musquin and Eli Tomac chasing him down. Cooper Webb was a little further back in fourth place. Musquin and Tomac swapped second place a couple times before Tomac made a move and got past Baggett with about 15 minutes left, but Baggett quickly got it back. A minute later Tomac passed Baggett and again and this time it stuck.
Musquin stalled his bike and dropped to fifth while Webb worked his way past Baggett for second place. Musquin pushed Webb for second over most of the second half of the race but he made a mistake in the sand on the final lap, and settling for third.
Ken Roczen, Cole Seely and Dean Wilson all went down in a first turn pileup.
