In the first triple crown race, Adam Cianciarulo quickly jumped out to a two-second lead and looked like he was in for an easy win. But on the third lap, Cianciarulo crashed coming out of a turn and gave up the lead to Colt Nichols. Nichols took advantage and pulled away for the win. Cianciarulo fell back to sixth place after his crash, but then managed to work back to fourth.
In the second race, Colt Nichols shot out to the early lead and was holding off Dylan Ferrandis. But with a little over two minutes left, Nichols made a mistake that allowed Ferrandis to make the pass. Nichols had trouble getting back up to speed and lost second place to Shane McElrath. Cianciarulo had a bad start and worked his way to fifth before crashing and dropping further back in the pack.
Cianciarulo took the lead on the first lap of the third race and held it for about half the race before getting passed by McElrath. Once in the lead, McElrath held position for the overall win. But he needed at least one rider to stay between him and Ferrandis to take the overall win. Ferrandis passed Nichols with three minutes left, but also needed to get past Cianciarulo for the win. Ferrandis made a little push on Cianciarulo with two laps left but was unable to make the pass and had to settle for third in the race and second overall.

Ken Roczen took the holeshot and led most of the way in the first triple crown race. But about three turns before the finish, Cooper Webb was able to get past Roczen and edge him out for the win. Eli Tomac had been battling Webb for second early in the race but fell back in the pace late in the race and let Marvin Musquin get past for third place.
Webb went wire-to-wire in the second race, with Musquin applying a little pressure late in the race, but eventually fading away. After a bad start, Roczen has worked up to third, but crashed with five minutes left and fell back to ninth. Roczen jumped in behind Tomac and the two worked their way through the pack but couldn’t catch Justin Barcia for third.
Tomac got the holeshot in the third race and checked out without ever being challenged. Webb and Musquin quickly worked into second and third place where they needed to be to battle for the overall win. Musquin eventually got past Webb for second place but still needed to gain two spots on Webb for the overall win and was never able to do it – giving Webb his first career 450 win. Roczen started in fifth but was only able to get past Chad Reed and move into fourth.
