Shane McElrath took the holeshot in the 250 main event, with points leaders Zach Osborne and Aaron Plessinger both having rough starts and finding themselves mid-pack early on. About five minutes into the race, Plessinger slid out and swapped bad – nearly throwing away the championship, but saved it and held on in 8th place.
Halfway through the race Adam Cianciarulo blasted past Jeremy Martin and McElrath to take the lead and cut the West Coast championship deficit to two points. But Plessinger and Osborne were able to hold on to their spots in 8th and 7th, which was enough to clinch the championships. Ciancarulo held on for the win without being challenged.
The drama was minimal in the 450 main event. Eli Tomac took the holeshot and went wire-to-wire for the win. He faced a challenge from Marvin Musquin during the first half of the race, but pulled away after that. Jason Anderson found his place in fifth place early on and stayed there to clinch the championship.
