In the 250 main, Alex Martin grabbed the holeshot with Christian Craig right on his tail. Top contenders Aaron Plessinger and Shane McElrath had bad starts, with McElrath as far back as 19th early on. After pushing hard for a lap, Craig finally got past Martin about 3 minutes into the race. McElrath struggled due to the effects of his first turn crash and struggled through just to collect a few points. With 8 minutes left, Plessinger got past Martin for second place.
Plessinger finally took the lead with 4 minutes left when Craig cross-rutted in what was nearly a catastrophic mistake, but he only fell back to fourth place. Justin Hill had his first good race of the season and started pushing Plessinger late in the race, before giving up second place to Joey Savatgy with a lap remaining. Hill and Savatgy’s battle slowed both down enough to let Plessinger pull away for the win.
Cole Seely took the holeshot in the 450 main and Ken Roczen soon settled in behind him. Eli Tomac tipped over in a berm early on and fell back to 21st place. With about 10 minutes left, Seely made a mistake in a rhythm section and surrendered the lead to Roczen.
Jason Anderson started putting pressure on Roczen with about 3 minutes left to go, finally getting past Roczen with 20 seconds left. Roczen got the lead back 3 turns later, and then lost it again about 4 turns from the finish.
