Zach Osborne was in seventh place after one lap of the 250 main event, but he quickly worked his way to the front of the pack and finally made a pass on Joey Savatgy by the ninth lap. Savatgy pushed Osborne for only a little bit before Osborne pulled away for a win without any other challenges. Savatgy looked to be good for a second place finish, but lost control in a rhythm section and crashed and stalled his bike. Savatgy lost one spot to Dylan Ferrandis, who finished second. Savatgy took third at the checkered flag.
When Savatgy had his troubles, he re-entered the track one turn later than he exited the track, and after the race Savatgy was penalized 5 positions. The penalty put Jordon Smith on the podium with a third place finish.
In a rare occurrence this season, Eli Tomac and Ryan Dungey both started near the front of the pack, with Jason Anderson in the lead. Anderson went down early on and allowed Eli Tomac to take the lead. Tomac’s lead didn’t last long as he caught a rut in a turn and hit the dirt. Tomac had trouble starting his bike, and fell back to 19th place. Dungey took the lead and held it awhile before giving way to Marvin Musquin.
Musquin looked like he had a good chance to pick up his third win of the season, but with half a lap to go, made a mistake in a corner and handed the lead to Dungey. Dungey went on to win with Musquin finishing second. Jason Anderson finished third.
Tomac fought back for an 8th place finish.
