In the 250 main, Joey Savatgy quickly worked his way to the lead with Zack Osborne getting stuck back in the pack. After a mistake sent Savatgy off the track and slowed him down, Jordon Smith was able to make up a few seconds and with about 8 minutes left Smith got past Savatgy for the lead. By this point, Osborne had worked his way up to third, about 2 seconds behind Savatgy.
With about 5 minutes left, Osborne was able to show Savatgy a wheel and bird-dogged him for the next 4 minutes as Smith pulled away, but was never able to make a move. Osborne fell off the pace a bit and settled for a third place finish. Savatgy was able to reel Smith back in and battled side-by-side for the last 2 laps, but Smith held on for the win.
In the 450 main, Ryan Dungey and Eli Tomac hit the first turn bar-to-bar. A couple corners later, Tomac got into Dungey’s line and took the lead. Marvin Musquin pulled in tight behind Dungey for third place. Tomac slowly started pulling away from Dungey, and after a lap or two battling, Dungey pulled away from Musquin. Dungey lost about 2 seconds to Tomac in the last 5 minutes when he tried lapping Chad Reed who was not giving way to Dungey.
After getting by Reed, Dungey still ended up dropping another 5 seconds to Tomac, who cruised to the win in the second half of the race. Musquin rounded out the podium.
