In the 450 main, Ryan Dungey took the holeshot while Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin were buried in the pack.
It looked like Dungey would check out and walk away. But Tomac wasn't done. After coming around the first lap in 9th place, Tomac starting working through the pack. He was over 10 seconds behind Dungey, but slowly closed in. Toward the end of the race, Tomac worked to second place and tried reeling Dungey in. The best Tomac could do is get within 3 seconds of Dungey. Blake Baggett rounded out the podium. Musquin took fifth to hang onto second in the point standings.
In the 250 main, Jordon Smith was the early leader. Zach Osborne was third but caught Smith on the sixth lap, and pulled away. Osborne was never challenged again and took the win. Smith and Alex Martin battled most of the way for second, before coming together late in the race with Smith going down.
Martin finished second, with Colt Nichols working his way up for a podium finish. Smith finished fifth. Joey Savatgy took fourth, and lost his points lead to Osborne. |
