After Ken Roczen's crash last week, and with Eli Tomac's early struggles it looked like the championship was going to be smooth sailing for Ryan Dungey.
But Eli Tomac made a statement tonight that he's not ready to give this thing away to Dungey. Tomac went wire-to-wire and was never challenged - winning the main event by over 10 seconds.
Surprisingly, Chad Reed also showed that he still has something left, as he battled with Dungey and eventually pulled away to grab second place. This was Reed's first podium finish in nearly a year.
While Dungey finished third, he still extended his points lead over Marvin Musquin, who finished 9th.
In the 250 class, Justin Hill tightened things up by winning his second main event in a row. Shane McElrath finished second, but still holds a 4-point lead in the series. Rookie Austin Forkner had his best finish of the season to round out the podium. |
