Justin Hill didn't get the holeshot in the 250 main, but he took the lead not long after and led the rest of the way, beating second place Aaron Plessinger by 5 seconds. Plessinger rode in second place the whole way. Points leader Shane McElrath took third. He diced with fourth place finisher Austin Forkner a little bit in the middle laps, but pulled away at the end. Jeremy Martin was collected in a first-turn pileup, but battled back to salvage a 10th place finish.
In the 450 class, drama began early when Jason Anderson punched Vince Friese after their heat race, disqualifying Anderson for the night. Then, in the second heat, Ryan Dungey went down in the first corner and broke his throttle, forcing him to the semi.
In the 450 main, Dungey took the holeshot, while Ken Roczen had a bad start and was forced to work his way up from 7th place. Roczen got up to third and was chasing down Cole Seely when he went down hard, knocking him out of the race.
Dungey cruised the rest of the way for a wire-to-wire win. Marvin Musquin worked his way past Seely for second, and Seely took third. Cody Webb had his best race of the year, finishing 4th. |
