In the 250 class, Jeremy Martin pulled another holeshot in the first moto. His lead only lasted about a lap before he went down and gave up the lead to Adam Cianciarulo. The crash knocked Martin back to 13th place. Zach Osborne got behind Cianciarulo and hunted him down for 20 minutes before finally sneaking by for the lead. Osborne slowly pulled away from Cianciarulo to win by over 10 seconds. Chase Sexton was looking for his first moto podium, but had two falls in the final couple laps to finish tenth.
Cianciarulo got the holeshot in the second moto and held it for about a little more than a lap before giving way to Osborne. Osborne cruised to another win.
In the 450 class, Eli Tomac snagged his first holeshot of the season. But it was short-lived as European import Jeffrey Herlings got past him on the first lap. Tomac tried to make a move on Herlings in the first few laps, but landed on the cushion of the track and went over the bars. The crash sent Tomac to 7th place. Herlings continued to lead, and Marvin Musquin began to put on pressure about 20 minutes into the race. A couple minor mistakes by Musquin allowed Herlings to pull away a bit and end up winning by 5 seconds.
Baggett got the holeshot in the second moto and then he battled with Musquin for the first couple laps before Musquin took the lead. Musquin pulled away and was cruising on the way to the moto win, but crashed on the next to last lap and surrendered the lead to Herlings. Herlings crashed on the opening lap and was in last place, but battled all the way through the pack for the win.
