In the first 450 moto, Blake Baggett bounced through the crowd to take the early lead, with Eli Tomac starting in about sixth place. Tomac quickly worked his way through the pack and passed Baggett on the third lap, and then checked out. Tomac was never challenged and won by 15 seconds. Baggett finished second and Cooper Webb finished a 450 career-best third. Marvin Musquin was caught in an early pileup but battled back for a fourth place finish.
Alex Martin took the holeshot in the first 250 moto, with RJ Hampshire and Aaron Plessinger on his back wheel. Hampshire finally made a pass on Martin about four minutes into the race, but gave up the lead with a minor crash a couple minutes later. Plessinger was giving Martin everything he could handle, but then had a minor crash and hurt his shoulder and pulled out of the race.
About 15 minutes into the race, Dylan Ferrandis passed Martin for the lead and began to pull away before losing the front end and gifting the lead back to Martin. Ferrandis just had more speed than Martin and needed about four minutes to get past Martin again for the lead. Martin dropped another spot when Zach Osborne passed him with about six minutes left on the clock. Ferrandis was never challenged again after taking the lead.
In the second 450 moto, Eli Tomac started off in 10th and worked his way up to second. He chased down Marvin Musquin for a couple laps, and finally got the pass about 14 minutes into the race. He was slowly pulling away from Musquin, when Musquin crashed and had to pull out of the race. That enabled Tomac to pull away to another 15 second lead over Baggett eventually winning by over 20 seconds.
